Note: As of August 2011, the CODEP website (www.codep.org.uk) is no longer live; it’s not clear when it was shut down. This post remains as an archive only.
Founded in the UK in 1993, CODEP (the Conflict, Development and Peace Network) was a multi-disciplinary forum for academics, organizations and practitioners involved in exploring the causes of conflict and its impact on people’s lives. Some of CODEP’s activities included an email newsletter, an online database, and an annual international conference on conflict and development.
CODEP aimed to reduce violent conflict and support those worst affected by it through the improvement of policy and practice in conflict, development and peace work carried out by UK NGOs, academic institutions, consultants and government departments.
