10Questions.com Connects Voters to Presidential Candidates

Steven Clift of E-Democracy.org recently posted about “10Questions.com” – a tool for uploading video questions that will be posed to presidential candidates in the 2008 election. You simply tag your question “10questions” and it will show up on the 10Questions site for people to vote on. The top 10 questions will get video answers from the presidential candidates. This tool is generating a lot of buzz, and will likely be used by many political candidates to connect with voters. If you are interested in this kind of tool, check out e-democracy’s E-Debates resource center as well: pages.e-democracy.org/E-Debates.

I would like to alert all those frustrated with the lack of tough questions in the debates to check out Straight2theCandidates.com. There are a number of technical differences to the aforementioned 10Questions though.
Our set up a) allows you to simply film themselves directly via our platform with their webcam, b) allows you to address a particular candidate directly (and not all candidates at once), c) enables citizens to post/look at the questions by category, d) and does not skew the ranking by indirectly favoring the most recent submissions.

I would invite you to check out the video function in particular, and then send Romney (or anyone else) a message by clicking "video" once his portal loads. After that, have your friends and colleagues vote the question up in the rankings to make sure it gets to his (or her respective) campaign!
