IAP2 Seeks Editorial Board and Advisory Panel Members

The International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) is re-launching its online journal later this year, and they just put a call out for volunteers interested in serving on the hands-on Editorial Board and the Advisory Board for the journal. Click below for the full announcement.

IAP2 Call for Expressions of Interest: Online Journal Editorial Board and Advisory Panel

The International Association for Public Participation is re-launching its journal in 2006. The journal will be an online, partially peer-reviewed, multi-disciplinary forum for the exchange of information among researchers, practitioners, decision-makers, and citizens about public participation and its impact around the world.

The Research Committee is seeking experienced scholars and practitioners to sit on the journal’s Editorial Board and Advisory Panel.

• The Editorial Board will be a “hands-on” working group that will finalize and implement the Editorial Policy through decisions regarding content and the selection of peer reviewers. Candidates should be able and willing to devote approximately one hour per week to Board related work.

• The Advisory Panel will provide the Editorial Board with suggestions and
recommendations concerning themes, topics, contributions, and the selection of potential reviewers and contributors.

In selecting both Board and Panel members, consideration will be given (as appropriate) to (a) the individual’s scholarship or practical experience and (b) their prominence and standing in their field.

IAP2 is committed to seeking diversity on both the Editorial Board and the Advisory Panel.

Persons interested in serving on the Board or the Panel should contact Michael
Briand, Editor-in-Chief, by the 20th of June 2006 by email (mkbriand@internetconet.net), or telephone (720-733-9429, 720-985-6033).
