This person should also have excellent writing and analytical skills and experience doing field-based interviews.

Researcher-Consultant Profile
Work experience of 5+ years on issues related to development, governance, and/or public policy.
While experience in the field of Conflict Resolution is not necessary, the appropriate candidate will be interested in and willing to learn about the field so as to do research and help conduct interventions.
Role Description
Primary responsibility is to actively contribute to research, program development, and intervention activities in Meta-Culture’s Consulting Department.
More specifically:
- Contribute to research and stakeholder outreach for Meta-Culture consulting initiatives, including multi-stakeholder Dialogue and Consensus-Building processes, complex corporate/social sector disputes, etc.
- Support intervention design, strategy.
- Contribute to outreach and business development in the corporate and social sectors in India, and abroad.
- Devise funding strategies.
- Write concept notes, fee proposals, diagnostic reports, meeting reports, project summary reports, blog postings, and news articles.
- Conduct diagnostics and conflict assessments.
- Support the planning and implementation of project logistics, when necessary.
- Manage ongoing projects and serve as coordinator/team lead, when necessary.
- Contribute to internal learning and development initiatives.
Qualifications
You should have:
- Work experience of 5+ years on issues related to development, governance, and/or public policy.
- A Masters Degree (preferably in political science/sociology/economics/philosophy/ psychology/international relations/social work).
- A high level of knowledge about Indian history, politics, governance, culture, and society.
- Significant experience conducting in-depth first- and second-source research on a particular subject, including stakeholder interviews and analysis.
- Practical knowledge of, and experience in, conducting field-based assessments and/or monitoring and evaluation using such tools as Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), Stakeholder Mapping, Logical Framework Approach (LFA), or Goal Oriented Project Planning.
- High level of comfort communicating with senior corporate and political officials.
You should be:
- Willing to commit to working with Meta-Culture for a minimum of 3 years.
- Highly competent in written and spoken English.
- Fluent in at least one Indian language, preferably Hindi.
Compensation
Salary will be negotiated based on education and experience.
