Check out the new & improved Participedia.net
The new and improved beta version of Participedia is up and running at www.participedia.net. Participedia is a collaborative online repository of case studies, organizations, and methods in the field of democratic innovation and public engagement.
If you added content to the old wiki version, our friends at Participedia suggest you log in (your old login and password should work), update your user profile, and check on your earlier submissions to see if updates are in order.
Some of the features new features of this version include:
- an updated structure for case studies, making it easier to add, classify and find cases
- a new faceted classification and search system, making it possible for users to apply multiple filters to identify relevant examples of participatory politics and governance of all shapes and sizes
- the ability of registered users to “bookmark” individual articles on cases (examples of participatory politics and governance), methods (processes used to guide innovations), and organizations (that design, implement, or support the cases and methods) so that they can track their favorite articles.
I have been involved some in helping to shape Participedia, and I’m proud of what the Participedia team has accomplished! Participedia hopes to “harness the shared energy and expertise of the global community of researchers and practitioners dedicated to the advancement of participatory politics and governance,” and NCDD plans to support its efforts.
