Who should attend the Summer Learning Springboard?

The short answer is that NCDD events bring together current and future leaders and innovators who utilize highly participatory practices like dialogue and deliberation in order to help people work together to solve their most challenging problems. Our attendees are a wonderful mix of practitioners, consultants, academics, community leaders, public administrators, funders, non-profit organization leaders, artists, activists, and students — all of whom are involved in public engagement, community problem solving, or conflict resolution work.

In short – if you are interested in helping improve discussions and/or decision-making in your community, workplace, family, etc. – you should consider joining us!

What’s the SLS agenda?

The Summer Learning Springboard agenda can be found at www.ncdd.org/events/springboard.

The SLS begins Monday, July 26th with our Welcome session at Noon Eastern/9 AM Pacific. Two or three sessions are offered daily, Monday, July 26th  through Friday, July 30th.

How much is registration?

General registration for the SLS is $20, or just $10 for NCDD Members! The general registration gets you into all of the sessions listed as “included with Springboard registration.” Once you register you will receive a link to RSVP for the included sessions you would like to attend.

There are several sessions for which there is a separate fee. If you want to join one session only, you need only pay the fee for that session. The rates for those sessions are listed in the agenda and registration for those is on the main registration page.

What are the processing fees listed in my cart?

Those are fees associated with using the Flipcause platform for registration. If you wish to pass those fees on to NCDD, go back to the “Your Details” page and edit the last field “I’d like to cover the processing fee.”

What are the specific start and end times for the SLS?

We’ll begin with our Welcome session at Noon Eastern/9 AM Pacific Monday, July 26th and we’ll go through Friday, July 30th at 4 PM Eastern/1 PM Pacific.  You will select the sessions you wish to attend between Monday’s opening and Friday’s closing.

What’s your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your registration, please notify NCDD Office Manager Joy Garman via email (joy@ncdd.org) before 11:59 PM Eastern Sunday, July 18, 2021. Your registration fee will be refunded, less a 15% processing fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations made after July 18th, though substitutions can be made any time. Refunds will be processed after the conference has been held.
