NCDD 2016:  Bridging Our Divides

The National Conference on Dialogue & Deliberation (NCDD) is coming to the Boston metro area this October 14-16 (Fri through Sun) at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center. Join us for a great event that will bring together hundreds of the most active and influential people involved in public engagement and group process work across the U.S. and Canada!

Our theme for the conference is Bridging Our Divides. NCDD 2016 is taking place just a few weeks before the U.S. Presidential election, and in light of the extreme rhetoric and partisan rancor in this election cycle, we want to lift up our attendees’ stories about healing the partisan divide and about creating and implementing strategies that will help us move forward together in addressing our shared problems.

NCDD has held unique, engaging biennial conferences for leaders and up-and-comers in dialogue, deliberation, and public engagement since 2002. In the past 14 years we’ve brought together nearly 3,000 people from dozens of countries. If you’re new to NCDD, learn more about this rich network and resource at www.ncdd.org.

What’s an NCDD conference like? Imagine spending three days with some of the most amazing people in our field… there’s really nothing like it. We’ll be using many creative ways to highlight the best of what’s happening in public engagement, community problem-solving, and civic tech — including our popular “D&D Showcase,” more than 40 amazing workshops, a panel with philanthropists, a media room, and so much more!
