Bio

Joseph is a designer and facilitator of complex public collaborations designed to tackle issues in economic development, natural resource management, and food systems. Joseph has designed and led hundreds of processes ranging from a statewide strategic plan for agriculture in California (California Ag Vision 2030), to a collaborative leadership and systems thinking curriculum for emerging leaders, to a systems mapping project to better understand the barriers to success of California’s new groundwater management laws. As a thought partner to global businesses Joseph has helped leaders drive sustainability initiatives, develop metrics for stewardship practices, and train upcoming managers on sustainability challenges. He currently serves as distinguished senior fellow at Ag Innovations, focused on improving the practice and methodology behind collaborative change.
