Bio

As Outreach Director, Ruth helps Trusted Sharing, reach out to facilitators and other potential user groups. She is particularly interested in using Trusted Sharing as a platform for more coherent public conversations that can make a difference. Her background involves community organizing, bringing worker-owned co-ops to Durham, and developing public community conversations to create a more caring economy. She has a PhD in education and have taught many different ages in various educational settings. She thinks of herself as still educating and learning through her talks, writings and community facilitation. She has come to see that in order for learning to happen there has to be a lot of deep listening on both the side of the learner and the teacher.
